Standard 3-point system uses one tie-down at the bow and two at the stern of the tender. For bow-mounted tenders on ocean-gong craft, a 4-point tie-down system with two tie-downs at the bow end of the tender is recommended
Fixed tie-downs are mounted to a fixed pad-eyes permanently mounted on deck. Removable tie-downs feature removable pad-eyes secured to flat polished stainless-steel plates mounted into the deck. The tiedowns may be removed when the tender is not being carried, providing a clean deck surface, clear of trip hazards.
